28.2.2006 - 14:00-17:30: Vielsprachigkeit und Kultur in regionaler Zusammenarbeit. Zukünftige Aussichten der neuen EU-Programme für Kutlur und Bildung
Konferenz im Ausschuss der Regionen der EU
The European Commission has tabled proposals in order to establish new EU programmes for culture and education. The new programmes, currently under negotiation by the European Council and the European Parliament, will run from 2007 to 2013 and are of special interest to the regions.
What impact will these new EU programmes have on the regions? What are the regions’ experiences in these fields? Representatives of the Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament, the European Commission and several regions will try to find the answers to these questions.
The conference is organised by Steiermark (Austria), Lower Silesia (Poland) and La Vienne (France), three regions now celebrating their 10th anniversary after having established cooperation on cultural and educational issues.
A best practice example of intercultural cooperation will also be presented.
The conference will take place on 28 February 2006 at the Committee of the Regions, Rue Belliard 101, BEL 51, 1000 Bruxelles from 2pm to 5.30 pm.
Please confirm your participation by responding to this e-mail indicating your name, position, organisation and telephone number to steiermark-office@stmk.gv.at by no later than 21 February 2006.
